The Natural World Library application, including all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) is owned by Hunters Entertainment, its licensors, or other providers of such material and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

Protected Content

The following elements of the Natural World Library are protected by copyright:

  • Software code and architecture
  • Plant illustrations and artwork
  • Written content, descriptions, and databases
  • Folklore and ethnobotanical compilations
  • User interface design and layout
  • Graphics, logos, and icons
  • Audio and video content
  • Database compilations and selections
  • Original photography and images

Permitted Use

Subject to the Terms of Service, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • Access and use the Natural World Library application for personal, non-commercial purposes
  • Create personal notes and annotations within the application for your own use
  • Use plant information for tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPG) and educational purposes
  • Share limited excerpts of content for commentary, criticism, or educational purposes under fair use principles

Prohibited Use

Unless you have obtained prior written permission from Hunters Entertainment, you may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works, publicly display, or publicly perform any content from the application
  • Use any content for commercial purposes, including but not limited to selling, licensing, or monetizing
  • Copy, scrape, or download bulk content from the application using automated means
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notices
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any software or code from the application
  • Use content in a way that suggests endorsement by or affiliation with Hunters Entertainment
  • Create competing products or services using our content
  • Redistribute or republish content on other websites, applications, or platforms

User-Generated Content

You retain copyright ownership of any original content you create within the application, such as:

  • Personal notes and annotations
  • Custom collections and organization
  • Original commentary or descriptions

However, by creating content within the Natural World Library, you grant Hunters Entertainment a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the application's functionality.

Third-Party Content

Certain content within the Natural World Library may be sourced from or licensed from third parties, including:

  • Public domain botanical information and historical texts
  • Licensed illustrations and photographs
  • Scientific databases and taxonomic information
  • Folklore and traditional knowledge compilations
